It started at home, with a love of jewellery and a little girl who loved it too.

Making jewellery started as a little hobby at home. My daughter, Eliza, loved jewellery from a young age too. She enjoyed choosing little pieces, wearing them and building her own collection of jewellery she loved.

Over time, we noticed that many of the pieces tarnished quickly or broke easily. They weren’t made to last, and eventually they had to be thrown away. It made Eliza sad to see pieces she loved become worn or unusable so quickly.

When Eliza had her ears pierced for her 7th birthday, I started looking for earrings for her. I found it surprisingly difficult to find something that was pretty and age appropriate, made from good quality materials and still affordable enough for everyday wear.

I wanted something better. Timeless jewellery made from good quality materials that I would feel happy choosing for my own daughter, but at a price that made sense for everyday life.

Then Eliza’s favourite bracelet broke. It had been bought for her by her grandmother from a little stall while they were on holiday. It was a simple bracelet, but it meant a lot to Eliza, and she was genuinely heartbroken when it broke.

That made me realise that jewellery can be so much more than something we wear. A little bracelet or pair of earrings can hold a memory, remind us of someone we love or bring us back to a special moment.

And that’s where Klara began.

We carefully curate timeless jewellery for girls and teens, made from genuine 925 sterling silver. We look for pieces that are comfortable to wear, suitable for sensitive skin and made without harmful materials. Jewellery that feels special enough to give as a gift, but is still practical enough to enjoy every day.

Most of all, we want to curate pieces that can become part of their own memories.
